Detoxifying Avocado Smoothie for Glowing Skin and Healthy Hair
Your size does not determine your overall health. That’s a lie that the health industry uses to sell more diet pills. If you think about it, what’s more important, is that you feel good, that’s the only way you can truly measure whether you’re thriving or not. Signs that you need to pay attention to what you’re eating are feelings of sluggishness, irritability, and you might even begin to notice the declining health of your skin and hair. If you need a useful health boost, it helps to start with detox to get you back to the top of your game. This avocado smoothie can help do this and get you on the right track.
Detox for Healthier Hair & Skin
Are you trying to detox but don’t get what the benefits are? Removing toxins from the body is a remarkable process. It helps prevent chronic disease, enhances your immune system, increases energy, and helps improve skin quality. Pomegranates are one of the best ingredients to use to boost your detox efforts. (1). These zesty fruits are wonderful at strengthening your immune system so that your body can fight off diseases and pathogens more effectively. Relying on just a detox period every few weeks while still eating a mostly unhealthy diet won’t provide you with the glowing skin and beautiful hair that you’re after. You need to try and eat mostly whole foods to see the best results.
Avocado is still an underrated superfood, even though they’ve been getting more and more attention lately. It’s no surprise really, they’re splendid, and they are one of those all-encompassing foods that taste great while still being incredibly nutritious. Avocado and peaches are high in Vitamin C. Both have cancer-fighting properties and are fantastic for building a healthy immune system. (2). To make this smoothie, you should begin by chopping up some fresh or frozen strawberries and peaches, then add them to a blender with some avocado and pomegranate seeds.
Next, you’ll want to add a tablespoon of MCT oil into the blender. MCT oil is a form of saturated fatty acid that has many health benefits. It’s even been shown to help prevent Alzheimer’s Disease, by improving memory in older adults. (3). Add vanilla extract, unsweetened almond milk and some ice to finish and blend until you’re happy with the consistency.
