For example, individuals usually hit the ground running when they’re first given weight loss protocols. It’s common to see them performing extra cardio/workouts and overly limiting themselves with regards to their food choices. More often than not, these habits are not sustainable and will eventually lead to getting burned out.

Small Actions, Big Changes

According to fitness and health experts, creating small sustainable habits is one of the best ways to make the weight loss process more efficient and less painful. (1) Walking your dog, playing with your kids, and doing more chores around the house are simple actions that will help burn more calories without it feeling like actual exercise. Trying new weight loss-friendly recipes is another great way to sustain healthy eating habits. Here’s an amazing peaches and cream keto smoothie recipe that not only tastes incredible, but it will also help you lose weight!

Due to the low carbohydrate intake, blood sugar levels are more stable during keto. Consuming carbohydrates, especially refined white sugar, can cause large spikes in blood sugar. Those who have been diagnosed with prediabetes or diabetes should avoid high-sugar food and switch to a ketogenic diet. (2)

Another reason one should consider going on a ketogenic diet is better satiety. Let’s face it, hunger is one of the biggest problems that go alongside with dieting. Out of all the macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fat), fat and protein are stated to be the most satiating. Since a typical keto diet is made up of 75% fat, 20% protein, and only 5% carbs, one can expect to feel fuller for a longer period of time. After drinking one serving of this peaches and cream smoothie, you’ll feel full and satisfied.

Dessert Weight Loss Smoothie

Of course, the only thing left to talk about is the amazing flavors of this smoothie. Who doesn’t love peaches and cream? It’s a classic dessert made into a delicious weight loss smoothie. The tangy, sweetness of peach pairs well with heavy whipping cream. Additionally, a scoop of vanilla whey protein will add extra creaminess to the flavor and the protein will help your body recover from exercise.

A great recipe should be easy, delicious and healthy which is exactly what this recipe is! In as little as 5 minutes, you can make a single serving of this smoothie. Throw in 2/3 a cup of chopped peaches (fresh or frozen), ½ a cup of heavy whipping cream, ½ a cup of water, 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder, ½ a teaspoon of vanilla extract, ½ a cup of ice, and liquid stevia (optional) in a blender and pulse. In order to get the best flavor, make sure to serve this smoothie immediately. Otherwise, store it in the refrigerator for later consumption.

Creating fantastic recipes like this will make your nutrition plan for weight loss more enjoyable and of course, more sustainable.
