Benefits of Banana

Pineapple tastes great on its own but together with ripe banana, it’s a flavor combination that’s hard to beat. The sweetness of the pineapple combines perfectly with the sweet, creamy texture of the banana. Furthermore, bananas are excellent for breakfast smoothies because they provide the body with a quick boost of energy to start the day. The sugars present in bananas are easily used by the body as energy.

Bananas are also one of the best sources of potassium. Potassium is vital for good circulatory health. It also helps to regulate hydration levels in the body. Individuals who suffer from high blood pressure will greatly benefit from the bananas in this morning smoothie since potassium helps to lower blood pressure.

As mentioned earlier, this pineapple banana breakfast smoothie may be an easy solution for those who constantly struggle to wake up early, skip breakfast, and rush to wherever they need to go. This recipe can be prepared in as little as 5 minutes but that time can be cut even shorter as long as the ingredients are prepared beforehand and stored properly in the refrigerator.

In a blender, combine 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of chopped pineapple (fresh or frozen), ½ a small ripe banana, 1 tablespoon of raw walnuts, ½ a teaspoon of ground turmeric, ½ a teaspoon of ground ginger, ¼ a cup of rolled oats, 2 teaspoons of honey, and ½ a cup to 1 cup of ice. Blend the ingredients well and serve it right away. Since this recipe has milk in the ingredients, don’t store this smoothie for longer than a week in the refrigerator to avoid spoilage. To ensure freshness of taste, it’s always best to blend the ingredients before consumption.
